In the midst of the Christmas season, the greatest mystery in all of history unfolds. The Bible, a narrative of God’s people from Genesis to the prophetic words of Malachi, reveals a 400-year period of divine silence before the emergence of Jesus. Amid geopolitical changes and shifts in power, God’s people clung to hope for the promised Messiah. Unveiling details about the Messiah, including His lineage, virgin birth, and divine nature, God chose not to disclose the timing of His advent. Bethlehem, the prophesied birthplace, holds significance as the City 0f David and the House of Bread. The decree of Caesar Augustus compels Joseph and the pregnant Mary to undertake a challenging journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem, setting the stage for the fulfillment of prophecies. The mystery of Immanuel, meaning “God with us,” is explored, emphasizing Jesus as the embodiment of God in human form. The Apostle John’s poignant depiction in John 1:14–18 underscores Jesus as the fullness of God dwelling among us. This mystery of Godliness is affirmed in Colossians 2:9, highlighting Jesus as the complete manifestation of deity in bodily form. The narrative culminates in the assurance that Immanuel, our Savior, will be with us always, fulfilling the promise of Matthew 28:20. The conclusion reflects on God’s precise timing, the convergence of global conditions facilitating the spread of the Savior’s message, and the profound mystery of Christmas—Jesus, God revealed in person, inviting worshippers to embrace the good news of the Savior’s arrival.
