Hear, O LORD, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me! You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, LORD, do I seek.” Hide not your face from me. Turn not your servant away in anger, O you who have been my help. Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation! — Psalm 27:7-9a (ESV)
We need to hear the truth. The truth is that we are a fallen people and we have pushed God to the periphery of our lives. Because Judah had done this, God was going to pull the rug our from under them. The same may happen to us today. We need to repent and put God back into the place He deserves in our lives.
Where do you find your hope? What motivates you to get up in the morning and continue throughout your day. The current state of our world and the direction it seems to be going has the ability to rob us of any hope that we might have. The problem for us is that we cannot and must not ground our stability alone in our present situations.
